Details of In- Person Service
A. Sunday Worship will be divided into two services. One at 10:30am and the other at 12:30pm. The 10:30 Service is preferablly for senior congregants and /or small family units (3 or less). The 12:30 is preferably for the larger family groups (4 or more) and younger congregants. You can attend any service you wish. These are not rules, just suggestions. Please come to a service and worship with us.
B. As of now, we will not be holding children’s church, pre-school class, or opening our nursery for multiple children with an attendant. We have several families with small children, and understand they will need to care them. Our nursery and mother’s room will be available for instances that require care outside of our sanctuary. We ask that only one parent and child be in the room at a time.
C. Until further notice, our sanctuary on Wednesday evenings will be reserved for our youth. They need a time to have service together, and the sanctuary will be set up for social distancing (more details below). We will continue to stream a devotion on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 for everyone else. Thank you for sacrificing during this season for the youth of our church.
D. Until further notice, we will be practicing social distancing during our services. Pews will be marked in six feet intervals, and people will be seated in every other pew. We are asking people who traveled together to sit together. We will try and accommodate extended family groups the best we can while practicing social distancing. Ushers will seat you to avoid any confusion.
E. On the issue of masks: We are not requiring people wear masks. However, if you feel comfortable wearing a mask, please do so. We have purchased masks and will make them available to anyone who wishes to use one.
F. We have installed hand sanitizers at points of entry. They will be mounted on the wall and easily visible. Please sanitize your hands before entering the sanctuary. We will also have bottles placed in high traffic areas and inside the doors of the sanctuary.
G. We will clean and sanitize before each service. We have purchased commercial grade disinfectant and cleaner. Our efforts will be focused on: pews and back of pews, door handles & knobs, bathrooms, nursery, mother’s room and other high traffic areas.
H. During this season of re-opening, we will not be taking up a traditional offering in our services. We ask you continue to use our church app and online options or send them in the mail. If you would like to give during in person service, we will have a designated area for you to place your monetary donation.
I. If you or someone in your immediate family does not feel well, running a fever or display symptoms associated with the virus, please refrain from attending in person services. If you fall into any category that is considered “high risk” or you simply wish to distance yourself from in person service because you’re not comfortable, please stay home. You can engage in our service through Facebook live.
As we venture into this moment of re-opening, please know we have never done this before, especially in a time of a global pandemic. This is our best effort in providing a safe and responsible place of worship for you for this season. I keep repeating that word because this season, too, will pass. As for now, WE CAN WORSHIP TOGETHER AGAIN!
I cannot wait to see you again inside the sanctuary of our church.
